First girls skateboard lesson in Charlton park goes off!
Our first ever girls skateboarding lesson in Charlton Park was a huge success! After requests last year on social media to provide some girls-only lessons, we scheduled some in last week.
We had 8 girls in attendance on a bitterly cold morning in February 2018. Despite the cold the girls got into it, and by the end of the lesson most were happy to cruise down the driveways by themselves. We’re looking forward to more mild days in March in which to progress. Well done to all the girls who braved the sub-zero temperatures & wind to come out to Charlton skatepark.

What a brilliant idea. Girls can tend to view skateboarding as a boys’ sport, so these girls only sessions must be so encouraging for young girls and will help to get more girls into skateboarding. I’m glad to hear the first lesson was a success. Well done to the girls for braving the temperatures!
how much are the girls group skateboarding lessons and how many lessons are there please.
Hi Robert. Sorry for the late reply! We were on our winter break. Our group lessons start again next Saturday, the 23rd February 2019. Initially we’ll just run a mixed group until the numbers pick up and we’ll start running the girls classes again. If you sign up to our newsletter we’ll let you know as soon as the girls classes start again, in the meantime the girls are of course welcome in our mixed group.
Hi – is this girls-only session still on? How can I go about signing up? The only option I seem to get to in the website is private lessons. Please can you let me know what my options are? I have two 8-year old girls hi are quite keen to learn. Thanks

FYI the girls lessons aren’t currently running. I’m trying to find a coach for them. Of course girls are more than welcome at the regular classes. Watch this space…
