One of our regulars to the progressing group, George, had his birthday skateboard party at Skaterham skatepark in Caterham recently, and he invited us along to help out giving skateboard lessons!
We gave George his own school of skate t-shirt for posterity so he could remember his party! Dell is in the picture presenting it to him. You can book a private group skateboard lesson which is perfect for a birthday party, or a birthday present skateboard lesson for one, both include a T-Shirt and voucher which you can wrap up for the big day, and a go-pro video recorded at the lesson.
Skaterham is a skate park in a church in Caterham, Surrey which makes for quite an impressive backdrop to a skate session. I hadn’t been for a few years and I’m sure some of the street course had increased in size. Or maybe I’m shrinking in my old age! We followed a fairly relaxed format with many of the kids on their scooters and some on skateboards. We gave some ad-hoc skateboard instruction to the kids when they wanted to have a try. Many of the adults got involved. We had an aunt, who must have been skateboarding back in the 70’s, strap some pads on and jumped back on the board after quite a few decades! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
George regularly comes over from the Bromley area to attend progressing skate school with us in Charlton Park.
