Summer Skate Jam and more at the Peckham Festival
We are happy to announce our plans for the Peckham Festival on the 13th – 15th September!
We have King Ramps coming through to bolt their flat bank onto the skatepark, extending the park out into the Copeland Park Courtyard.
All weekend we will have
- Tombola (everyone’s a winner baby)
- Rum bar
- DJs (playing vinyl)
- Deck sale – £30 lucky dip
Book a course of beginner lessons and get a free complete skateboard
Supported by Clown in Action, we are giving away a complete skateboard when you book a course of beginner lessons on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
For the next week, when you book a beginner lesson you will get the option to book a course which comes with a free complete skateboard (you will need to put the skateboard together).
The skateboard is a Clown In Action deck, with an undercarriage from Fracture Skateboards.

Rob Facer Kickflip at Copelands skatepark
Isle of Wight based Anders has spent the last few months documenting the local skate scene. Come and check out some pictures of local skaters skating local spots, and the coaches at School of Skate.
A lot of the work will be upstairs on the mezzanine, where Anders will also have his decks and friends of the skatepark will be playing some vinyl.
First Friday Competition launch
We will be launching the First Friday Competition on Friday the 13th August. This contest will run every month
Contest Rules
Copelands skatepark will select a piece(s) of skate furniture upon which you will do your most creative trick. This month it is the white sloping ledge. You can move it where you want, and add other pieces of furniture to get your clip.
Post your clip, tagging @copelands_sp and @weareinaction_cic and the account with the most likes by the First Friday of the following month wins a prize.
Saturday schedule
We will have some lessons as usual in the morning.
We will have an under 16s competition at 3pm, sponsored by Dark Arts Skateboards.
We will have the over 16s contest at 5pm, sponsored by Keen Distribution
Sunday schedule
We will have some free taster lessons from 10am. Please pre-book.
We will have a free art workshops for pro students with Coach and artist Kalid at 3pm. Please pre-book.
