If you are more accomplished we can either work on your street skateboarding skills and learn to ollie, or you can learn to ride ramp; how to pump (keep up your speed) and to drop-in. Your skateboard lesson will last 1 hour.
What should you wear for your skateboard lesson?
Please wear skate shoes or soft-soled shoes, and clothes you don’t mind getting a little scuffed or dusty..
My 6-year-old boy loves attending the skateboard club at Copeland Park in Peckham! The coaches are fantastic — super patient, encouraging, and passionate about teaching. It’s been amazing to see his confidence grow with every session. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the kids always have a great time while learning new tricks and improving their skills.A special shoutout to Stewart, whose communication and support have been outstanding. He’s always quick to respond to my emails and is incredibly helpful with any questions I have. It’s clear he genuinely cares about the kids and their experience at the club.Copeland Park is a great spot for the club, with good space and a fun community vibe. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for an active and enjoyable activity for their child!
My son age six and half first time skate boarding, now three lessons in and really enjoying it. Great space, great teachers and they have pads and boards on site.
All the tutors are really great with the kids, their patience and their gentle style of teaching is perfect. Lessons are safe, inspiring and they adapt really well to each child's needs. Couldn't recommend enough.
The group lessons at Peckham HQ are amazing, the class sizes are small, the teachers are all very kind, patient and knowledgable. Our 5 yr old has been attending for a couple of months and is learning so quickly. We always recommend School of Skate to everyone we know!
We booked a private skateboarding lesson for our sons aged 6 and 10 with Stuart at the Folkestone Gardens Skatepark in Deptford. Our boys are both keen skateboarders and have different ability levels. Stuart was able to differentiate the lesson brilliantly and both boys made excellent progress throughout the lesson. Our sons had a great time and are keen to return for more tuition with Stuart who also provided us with guidance on appropriate skateboards to help the boys make even better progress. We cannot rate School of Skate more highly and would like to thank Stuart for his expert and friendly guidance. We will be coming back for more!

My kids (10&7) had a couple of private lessons with Stuart and Mia over the Easter holidays. They both loved it and gained a lot of confidence. The progress they’ve both made has amazed me. They are at different levels, but both teachers tailored the class so they both got lots out of it. My daughter (7) particularly loved having Mia teach her.
